This event left unforgettable impressions on all of us. The children were thrilled to have the opportunity to draw, play, and even dance. Their smiles and laughter vividly reflected the joyful atmosphere that you and your team created.
For adults and teenagers over 16, the presentation by two Ukrainian students studying in the United Kingdom was incredibly valuable. The informative session addressed numerous questions about university admissions and opportunities for higher education, inspiring everyone who attended.
Your ongoing support for the Ukrainian community at our meetings is always noticed and greatly appreciated. Time and again, you demonstrate your dedication and kindness, helping us feel welcomed, supported, and valued. This event is just one of many examples of how you make our lives better.

Запрошую на безкоштовні заняття загального розвитку для діток.
Розповім трішки про себе. Я, Грабовецька Любов Василівна, кваліфікований вчитель та психолог. Працюю як self-employed і маю DBS check. Я дуже люблю працювати з дітками, тому з радістю працюю у цьому напрямку протягом 35 років.
Наші заняття відбуватимуться у квітні (під час весняних канікул), у зручному приміщенні в центрі міста (недалеко від автовокзалу).
Заняття загального розвитку будуть відбуватись для двох вікових груп: діти 4-7 років та діти 8-12 років. Планується провести 2 заняття протягом 2 тижнів (1 заняття в тиждень). Тривалість одного заняття - 2 години.
Перша група (діти 4-7 рочків) матимуть заняття логіко-математичного розвитку та розвитку звʼязного мовлення (грамота), по програмі «Впевнений старт», М. Монтессорі.
Друга група (діти 8-12 років) матимуть заняття мовно-літературного напрямку та математики, по програмі О. Я. Савченко).

I invite you to free general development classes for children.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I am Lyubov Vasylivna Hrabovetska, a qualified teacher and psychologist. I work as self-employed and have a DBS check. I love working with children very much, so I have been happily working in this direction for 35 years.
Our classes will take place in April (during spring break) in a convenient location in the city center (near the bus station).
General development classes will be held for two age groups: children aged 4-7 and children aged 8-12. It is planned to hold 2 sessions over 2 weeks (1 session per week). The duration of one session is 2 hours.
The first group (children aged 4-7) will have classes in logical-mathematical development and literacy (reading and writing) according to the "Confident Start" program by M. Montessori.
The second group (children aged 8-12) will have language-literature and mathematics classes, following the program by O. Ya. Savchenko.

Dear Friends,
The Ukrainian community in Chelmsford would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us for the Christmas play on the 19th of December, 2024. Your presence made the event truly special.
We extend our sincere thanks to all who participated in the play, turning it into a memorable celebration filled with beautiful surprises. We are deeply appreciative of the hosts who have steadfastly supported Ukrainian families for nearly three years. Your kindness and generosity have been invaluable.
We are also immensely grateful to the charitable organizations in Chelmsford that have supported our community gatherings over the past two years. Special thanks go to CVS Chelmsford, the Methodist Church, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for providing spaces for our meetings and fostering a sense of belonging.

REMEMBRANCE DAY
Service at St. Mary’s the Virgin Church in Great Baddow
On November 10, 2024, St. Mary’s the Virgin Church in Great Baddow held a solemn Remembrance Day service, bringing together British and Ukrainian communities to honor those who have lost their lives in wars. The service included a poignant two minutes of silence, wreath-laying, and a shared prayer, uniting attendees in a profound sense of loss and respect.
As a symbol of remembrance and unity, the red poppy adorned the event, representing the collective mourning for those who have fallen and continue to fall on the battlefields. The ceremony also emphasized a shared understanding among the gathered individuals: the urgent need to reject war as a means of resolving today’s challenges. The main message, “Never Again,” resonated deeply, reflecting a collective commitment to strive for peace and ensure that the horrors of past and present wars are not repeated. In a moving display of solidarity, British and Ukrainian attendees stood together in reverence, honoring the memory of the fallen and advocating for a peaceful future.

DRAW WITH MYLA
We were painting the sea and seagulls. Why? Because the sea is never monotonous or boring, as it changes every day, even every minute. Mysterious, ever-changing, vast—it stirs the soul and never leaves the heart indifferent. One day, it's calm and peaceful, like a giant mirror—cold and transparent. Sunrays pierce the salty water, reaching the bottom, gently touching the golden sand and bright, glistening shells, smooth stones, and greenish seaweed. They catch little nimble fish that play joyfully in schools near the shore.
The next day, everything suddenly changes. A gusty wind sweeps in, driving the waves toward the shore. The water turns murky green, sometimes dark blue, and once I even saw it stunningly black. The fish, shells, and sand are no longer visible—only wild waves crashing powerfully against the shoreline.
Children had an opportunity to draw with Myla.

INDEPENDENCE DAY Of UKRAINE
Ukraine — a word that evokes both joy and sadness in the hearts of Ukrainians. For us, it symbolizes home, love, strength, and pain, representing the centuries-long. Today, we celebrate the Day of Ukraine, not alone, but this hall. Our event is adorned with vibrant traditional alongside our friends and families who have gathered in Ukrainian embroidery - Vyshyvanka, representing unity, independence.
We are deeply grateful to the members of the Methodist Church in Chelmsford who have consistently supported the Ukrainian community by helping to organise the English language courses.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which has generously hosted regular meetings for the Ukrainian community for over a year. A special thanks to John, Andrea, Sarah, Mike, Adam, and David, and everyone involved in assisting Ukrainians in Chelmsford.

Frogs are amphibians that inhabit almost all parts of the world. They live everywhere - in water bodies or swamps, on land, even several meters deep in solid clay layers, and in trees. Tailless frogs move in various ways. Many of us are afraid of frogs, but the ones we will draw will be kind, cheerful, and wet. We will fight against fears and stereotypes. We will learn many interesting facts and news about this mysterious creature.

ART CLASS
We had a fantastic lesson! Let's draw magical turtles! TURTLES ARE AMAZING CREATURES OF NATURE. THEY SEE WELL, HEAR WELL, AND HAVE A GREAT SENSE OF SMELL. TURTLES ARE WELL-ADAPTED TO LIFE ON LAND, BUT THEY CAN ALSO BREATHE UNDERWATER. THERE ARE MORE THAN 250 SPECIES OF TURTLES ON EARTH: TERRESTRIAL, FRESHWATER, MARINE, AND SWAMP.
The lesson was interesting and engaging.

And our spring paintings, which were created during the lesson, brought joy and warmth, faith and hope that everything would be fine.

Ukrainian mythology for kids.
(Ukrainian language)
In this lesson we were learning about Ukrainian Mythology.
Mavka - is a mythical person, a kind, sweet and pretty girl with long hair. Her hair can be any colour, just like in any human. Most of the time she has a hairband designed with flowers or leaves. If Mavka lives in the forest, her hairband will have leaves from the trees where she lives. If Mavka lives in the fields, her hairbands will be designed with wild flowers 💐. The girl, Mavka always wears a long white dress and walks barefoot. That is why it is so easy to confuse her with a human girl.
This lesson has helped us to understand a book - "The forest song". We tryed to draw Mavka and the amazing symbols of the nature.
We are very grateful to John, Sarah, Simon - all volunteers who joined us yesterday at The Church of Jesus Chist of Latter-Day Saints. You gave us place where we can meet and support each other. Each of you are bringing Hope for Ukrainians in this meetings and we are grateful for this.
